When asked about his beginnings, Tony David replied:

“I started customizing motorcycles when I lived in Detroit. Like every other underdog out there, I started with very humble beginnings… 1 little bike, a small garage and an idea. That 1 idea turned into a whole customization project for me. The months spent on that first bike were the most intense and most rewarding months of my life.

When I look back, it is almost comical as to what other people considered customization of a motorcycle at that time. When I came out with my first bike, it was an automatic head turner.

What most people do not know it was that we were truly underdogs at that time and the underdog spirit has always pushed me to create better, faster and cooler bikes. That’s why my business is named Underdog Motorcycles, because of its humble beginnings and underdog spirit”
